Job summary

Bevo Farms Ltd, North America's leading propagated plants supplier, is seeking dedicated individuals to help produce and deliver healthy plants to our customers at our Canadian facilities. This fast-paced role requires physical work in the greenhouse and on the potting line.

You will perform tasks such as plant picking and loading, maintenance, bay cleaning, and site preparation, while adapting to greenhouse temperatures and long-standing shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Must be able to start working early mornings (5:30am).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift certification considered an asset.
• No formal education or prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform various greenhouse tasks, e.g., picking/loading plants, maintenance, bay cleaning, and site prep.
• Follow hygiene and safety policies throughout the facility.
• Maintain a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and willingness to follow directions.

Bevo Farms Ltd is the largest supplier of propagated plants in North America, providing greenhouses, field farms, nurseries, and wholesalers across the continent with healthy, vigorous, pest-and-disease-free plants. Bevo operates four facilities in the lower mainland of British Columbia and two facilities in the province of Alberta.

SUMMARY

We are looking for dedicated and hardworking individuals to help produce and deliver healthy plants to our customers.

This is a fast-paced environment where physical work is required. In this role, you will be required to do a range of tasks related to crop care/work. Other duties may include working on the potting line, laying trays, and loading pots onto carts.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to adapt to greenhouse temperatures, be flexible to changing day-to-day tasks, and stand for long periods of time performing repetitive tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Under supervision, perform various physical tasks related to greenhouse operations, including picking and loading plants, plant maintenance, bay cleaning, and assisting in site preparation
• Adhere to all hygiene and safety policies and procedures throughout the facility
• Maintain a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a willingness to follow direction
• Other duties as required
