AVP Greenhouse in Lincoln, Ontario is seeking a Greenhouse labourer who is self-motivated with good interpersonal skills. Start date is as soon as possible for a permanent full-time position with day, weekend and overtime shifts.

Responsibilities include crop cleaning, clipping, harvesting by hand, reporting progress, plant bulbs/seeds, and ensuring a safe, smoke-free work environment. Must be able to lift up to 23 kg and work at heights.

Qualifications

• Fluent English language is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience is an asset.
• Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean crop areas.
• Clip plants as needed.
• Clean greenhouse and work areas.
• Harvest vegetables by hand.
• Harvest seedlings.
• Cull vegetables as required.
• Write basic daily progress reports.
• Plant bulbs and seeds.
• Report signs of insect or disease damage.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
