Job summary

eCycle Solutions Inc. is seeking a General Labourer Level 1 in Chilliwack, BC. The role involves handling electronic waste, dismantling devices, and maintaining a safe, efficient work area. You will use air guns and hand tools, sort materials, and help meet production targets.

Requirements include ability to lift 50 lbs, read SOPs, basic math, and willingness to work in a manufacturing/warehouse setting with PPE and safety adherence.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated aptitude for handling and knowledge of electronics.
• Manual labour as required; must lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) without assistance and use a pallet jack.
• Manufacturing or warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
• Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Demonstrate basic problem solving, effective communication, attention to detail, manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination.
• Must be able to read and carry out instructions for S.O.P.s, and possess basic math skills.
• Experience with manual and basic power tools, especially air guns.
• Ability to wear PPE and adhere to all Health and Safety requirements.
• WHMIS, Health and Safety, First Aid training is an asset.

• Unload, tag, sort both palletized and bulk material shipments of electronic waste (eg. TVs, monitors, computers etc), disassemble/dismantle waste electronic products quickly, accurately, safely and securely
• Use air guns and hand tools to dismantle electronic equipment
• Identify components from disassembly and sort into correct material bins
• Ensure work area remains clean and free of trash/debris throughout the work shift
• Communicate issues to supervisor/manager that could delay processes or create safety concerns
• Work quickly and accurately while maintaining high standards of performance with safety and quality
• Meet daily/weekly/monthly production and efficiency goals
• Follow eCycle policies, SOPs, and safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned

General Labourer

A General Labourer Level 1 performs various tasks related to materials handling, electronics dismantling, re-packing as well as plant and equipment clean-up on the basic lines.

Duties and responsibilities

• Unload, tag, sort both palletized and bulk material shipments of electronic waste (eg. TVs, monitors, computers etc), disassemble/dismantle waste electronic products quickly, accurately, safely and securely
• Use air guns and hand tools to dismantle electronic equipment
• Identify components from disassembly and sort into correct material bins
• Ensure work area remains clean and free of trash/debris throughout the work shift, including removal of plastic wrap/packaging material in the work centers
• Communicate all issues to the production supervisor and/or operations manager that could result in process delays or safety issues
• Work quickly and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of performance with quality production, security, and health & safety
• Ensure daily, weekly, monthly production and efficiency goals are accomplished
• Maintain strict adherence to eCycle policies, SOP’s, and safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned
