Job summary

eCycle Solutions Inc in Airdrie, Alberta is hiring a General Labourer to perform material handling, electronics dismantling and packing tasks in a safety‑conscious facility.

You will support warehousing, use basic tools, read SOPs and follow Health & Safety rules, contributing to secure, compliant recycling processes.

Qualifications

• Good physical condition and ability to perform demanding tasks.
• Basic problem solving, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
• High school diploma or equivalent is an asset.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload, tag, sort palletized and bulk electronic waste; dismantle quickly and safely.
• Identify components from disassembly and sort into correct bins.
• Assist with transfer of materials between machines (manual and assisted).
• Assist with feeding materials into equipment at appropriate speed and volume.
• Pack, bale and package materials; transfer to shipping or warehouse.
• Clean and maintain work areas to SOP standards; potential data entry of inventory.

General Labourer

Job Related Responsibilities:

At eCycle Solutions, a General Labourer performs various physically demanding tasks related to materials handling, electronics dismantling, re-packing as well as plant and equipment clean-up.

Skills, Knowledge and Qualification Requirements:

• Must possess good physical condition, able to sustain required physical activity levels over time, including using manual and basic power tools, lifting 15-25kg at a time, moving, squatting, and standing throughout shift,and wear personal protective equipment at all times during a shift including wearing a mask.
• Demonstrate basic problem solving, good attention to detail, manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination.
• High school diploma or equivalent will be an asset
• Must be able to read and carry out instructions for S.O.P.s, and possess basic math skills.
• No experience required but preference given to those with warehouse and/or manufacturing shop experience.
• Able to perform basic computer operations is a definite asset (Internet, PC applications, ERP data entry etc.).
• WHMIS, Health and Safety, First Aid training is an asset.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Unload, tag, sort both palletized and bulk material shipments of electronic waste (eg. TVs, monitors, computers etc), disassemble/dismantle waste electronic products quickly, accurately, safely and securely.
• Identify components from disassembly and sort into correct material bins.
• Assist in transfer of materials to and between machines – manually & power assisted.
• Assist with feeding of materials into equipment at appropriate speed and volume.
• Pack, bale, package materials.
• Transfer finished product to shipping areas or warehouse.
• Clean and maintain work areas and plant to SOP standards.
• May be responsible for computer data entry of inventory.
• May be responsible for feeding material into processing equipment.
• Work quickly and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of performance with quality production, security, health and safety.
• Able to wear PPE and adhering to all Health and Safety requirements.
