Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a General Labour professional for a long-term, stable manufacturing role in Ajax. You will work on a corrugated printing line, performing palletizing, stacking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and rotating day/night continental shifts (12-hour). Qualifications

• 3+ years of working in a manufacturing or general labour environment is required.
• Must be able to lift to 50lbs continuously.
• MUST be willing to work in the rotational shifts.
• MUST have access to reliable transport (facility is on the GO/Durham Transit Line).

Responsibilities

• Place the pallet onto the floor with a tear sheet on the pallet.
• Remove carton stacks from the conveyor and stack them as neatly as possible onto pallets.
• Ensure the stack does not go beyond standard height then remove the skid and start a new one.
• Remove all sub-standard cartons, check for printing/cutting problems, and notify the operator/printer if such are found.
• Remove internal scrap off the cartons as needed.
• Place a tear sheet between each layer of stacked cartons.
• Ensure that each pallet has a load tag and flash carton.
• Lifting from 20 lbs to 50lbs continuously
• Rotating all shifts
• Repetitive movements
• OT is optional
• Other duties as assigned
