Job summary

NPAworldwide in Mississauga is seeking a motivated Machine Operator to run Weber and Garant packaging lines, perform roll preparation, web re-starts and machine adjustments to meet daily production targets while adhering to customer specs.

You will document results, use ShopFloor software for labeling, counting and palletizing, and participate in quality control and safety practices along with a willingness to train and grow within a busy, well-established facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years experience in printing industry including experience on similar machines.
• Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Work safely per Health & Safety standards and policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management skills with punctuality and reliability.
• Attention to detail reading production sheets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Three Shift Rotation - Day / Aft / Night (every two weeks).
• Operate Weber and Garant Machines, packaging at required dial speeds and achieving daily production targets while preserving quality according to customer specs.
• Roll preparation.
• Re-web machine.
• Machine adjustments.
• Adjust slits, replace tucking blades, replace spots, change knives.
• Cut and install bottom pasters, maintain glue levels.
• Use ShopFloor software, labelling, counting and palletizing.
• Machine cleaning.
• Documentation and reporting.
• Quality control and assurance.
• Identify and report variations and deviations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
