Job summary

Chartwells in Timmins, ON is seeking a Multi Skilled Worker to support daily operations, including cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing. You will maintain residents' rooms and kitchen areas, assist with meals and cleanup, and follow health and safety guidelines.

Applicants should hold a valid Food Handler Certificate; previous housekeeping or food service experience is preferred, and healthcare setting experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Experience in housekeeping and food services is preferred.
• Healthcare environment or long-term care experience is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good command of English in speaking and writing, with ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for supporting our daily operations with a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing.

As a Multi Skilled Worker, you will:

• Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of residents’ rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management

About you:

• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset
• Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred
