Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA is seeking a General Helper to join our food service team. You will assist with meal preparation, presentation, and serving, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

This role involves working across production and distribution stations and following recipes and portion controls. We value reliable, customer-focused individuals with good English communication, strong time management and the ability to work both independently and in teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant, or fast food is considered an asset.
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position; heavy lifting up to 40 lb may be involved.

Responsibilities

• Dispense food for next day of production and plate individual meals.

• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.

• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Ability to work in various workstations including meal distribution area (packaging).
• Willing to learn skid wrapping of finished product.
• Food preparation and cooking as needed

Job Summary

• Dispense food for next day of production and plate individual meals.
• Conduct work in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.

• Accurately track production and waste records
• Operate cash register within acceptable variance limits in accordance with company policy
