Job summary

Paladin Security in Calgary, Alberta seeks professional Security Guards to protect diverse sites and serve communities with exceptional customer service.

Roles include patrols, incident reporting, emergency response, de-escalation, and cooperation with police and paramedics. This full-time position requires flexible day/night shifts, endurance for stairs, and a valid Alberta Security license or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Hold Alberta Security license or be able to obtain one.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to make quick decisions, staying calm in emergencies with minimal supervision.
• Able to walk 18/20 km and stairs.
• Authorized to legally work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and sustain relationships with clients and patrons.
• Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches.
• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
• De-escalate crisis situations, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including police, fire and paramedics.
• Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers.
• Write clear and detailed reports including incident, emergency, liability and day-to-day reports.
• Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s).
• Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities.
• Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries.

Job Skills / Requirements

We are looking for friendly and confident Security Professionals to work at a variety of sites in Calgary and surrounding areas. Security Guards can work in different settings - this includes retail centers, high and low rise office buildings, as well as other commercial and residential sites.

This job may be physically demanding due to the varied physical requirements. This job requires applicants to be able to work both day and overnight shift rotations as well as weekends and holidays.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service and assistance and sustain effective relationships with clients and patrons

• Ability to walk 18/20km and stairs


• Authorized to legally work in Canada
