An established community health centre is seeking a dedicated Data Management Assistant to join their interdisciplinary team. This role involves providing crucial data support and management functions, ensuring the integrity of the EMR system, and assisting with various data-related tasks. The North Lambton Community Health Centre [NLCHC] is a community governed health centre serving identified priority populations in a defined catchment area. The Centre operates multiple sites in Ontario: Forest, Kettle & Stony Point, Watford, and Sarnia. Our interdisciplinary team of providers includes: physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, health promoters, dietitians and physiotherapists.
1.0 FTE Data Management Assistant -37.5 Hours/Week
The Data Management Assistant will provide data support and data management functions under the direction of the Finance Team Lead. The successful candidate will maintain and update the NLCHC EMR, website, intranet, survey monkey, medical library, OTN bookings and assist with troubleshooting functions.
Qualifications:
· Community College certificate in a relevant discipline, or three or more years relate experience, preferably in a health care setting.
· Proficiency in the use of computers and various database programs used at the NLCHC.
· Experience as a computer trouble-shooter, including assessing hardware and software problems, identifying training needs and working with the Finance Team Lead to address them in an appropriate manner.
· Understanding of the Community Health Centre Model of Care is an asset.
Flexible hours of work are required. The incumbent will be required to work at our Forest and Sarnia sites, as well as any of our other sites. This is a permanent position that includes benefits and HOOPP.
