Northland School Division is seeking a Jr. & Sr. High Physical Education/Wellness Teacher for Bill Woodward School in Anzac, Alberta. The successful candidate will deliver the prescribed PE curriculum and support Cree language/culture infusion in a rural Indigenous community.

Qualifications

Northland School Division is seeking a Jr. and Sr. High Physical Education/Wellness Teacher at Bill Woodward School. Bill Woodward School is located in the hamlet of Anzac, approximately 50 kilometres south of Fort McMurray. Major Responsibilities include:

  • Provide feedback to students and parents in a regular, timely manner.

Qualifications and Requirements include:
  • Must hold or qualify for Alberta teaching certification and a Teaching Quality Standard certificate.
  • Must hold a Bachelor of Education (BEd.) degree.
  • Successful years of teaching experience in rural and/or Indigenous communities.

Additionally, should the successful applicant receive a successful evaluation, there may be an opportunity to receive a continuous contract.
