You will bake breads, donuts, pastries, frost cakes and supervise 1–2 staff, train others, and ensure quality. No formal credential required; 1–2 years experience preferred; strong teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in baking or food preparation
• No degree, certificate or diploma required
• Ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination
• Ability to distinguish between colours
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Dependable, reliable, accurate, and a team player

Responsibilities

• Bake mixed dough and batters to produce fresh breads, rolls, donuts, muffins, desserts, and pastries
• Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
• Prepare special orders as requested
• Supervise 1 to 2 baking personnel and kitchen staff
• Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and safe handling of food
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas
• Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies
• Organize and maintain kitchen inventory
• Operate machinery safely and efficiently
• Ensure product quality consistently meets established standards
