Job summary

Freson Bros. in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Full-Time Bakery Manager at the Rabbit Hill location. You will lead the bakery team, manage inventory, schedule staff, and ensure exceptional customer service while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

The role requires 2+ years of bakery/restaurant management experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with Google Suite. Competitive salary range $50,000–$60,000 CAD plus benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum progressive bakery or restaurant management experience.
• History of meeting financial objectives in bakery/restaurant settings.
• Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working during peak bakery hours (early mornings, daytime, weekends, holidays).
• Knowledge of bakery preparation, baking methods, and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Bakery Team to achieve production and customer service targets.
• Measure, mix, scale, and hand-mould artisanal bread; bake and score products.
• Operate bakery equipment (mixers, ovens, proofer, bread slicer).
• Manage inventory, ordering, records, and quarterly counts.
• Schedule team members to meet production and customer needs.
• Recruit with Store Manager support; train and motivate staff.
• Resolve customer concerns and maintain a positive experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation; uphold Freson Bros. standards.

We are hiring for a Full-Time Bakery Manager with a wage range of $50,000 - $60,000 at our location in Edmonton, AB. (Rabbit Hill location)

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead Bakery Team to
• Measure, mix, scale, and hand-mould various types of artisanal bread
• Hand-Mould bread, baguettes, boule, etc.
• Bake and score traditional bread and bakery products
• Operate bakery equipment (i.e. commercial mixers, rack ovens, proofer, bread slicer)
• Inventory Management through weekly ordering, record & invoice maintenance, and leading quarterly inventory counts
• Schedule Bakery Team Members to ensure that production and customer needs are met
• Ensure company standards are met and department programs are followed
• Assist the Store Manager with recruiting while maintaining a high-performance work team
• Train, develop, and motivate Bakery Team Members
• Resolve customer and Bakery Department concerns and complaints, and provide a positive customer experience
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
• Champion the Freson Bros. brand and culture by modeling our qualities of Drive, Integrity, and Growth
• Providing an exceptional customer experience

What you Bring

• 2 years minimum progressive bakery or restaurant management experience
• A history of meeting financial objectives and targets in a bakery or restaurant environment
• Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong Google Suite skills and the ability to quickly learn new computer programs
• Exceptional communication, and interpersonal skills
• A passion for leading and developing others
• Effective critical thinking and conflict resolution skills
• Comfortable working during peak bakery hours (i.e.early mornings, daytime, weekends, and holidays)
• Knowledge of the basic principles of bakery preparation, various baking methods, and food safety regulations
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
