Telecon seeks a MDU Fiber Construction Inspector to oversee subcontractor crews on FTTH/OSP projects, ensuring work aligns with drawings and client standards. You'll inspect field workmanship, manage schedules, and document inspections from pre-construction to closeout.

The role requires QA/QC experience, ability to read plans, and coordination with multiple stakeholders. Candidates should be comfortable with varied shifts, outdoor and indoor environments, and travel across project sites.

Competenze

• Experience performing QA/QC inspections on fiber, telecom, or utility construction.
• Experience directing or overseeing subcontractor crews.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, fiber route maps, utility prints, and as-built documentation.
• Working knowledge of aerial and underground placement methods, NESC guidelines, OSP construction standards, and permitting requirements.
• Ability to identify change orders by reading a scope of work (SOW) and flagging out-of-scope work for approval.
• Comfort using field reporting software on a phone or laptop, plus Microsoft Office.
• Professional communication skills and the judgment to make sound field decisions without constant supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Availability for extended days, evenings, and occasional weekends as construction schedules require.

Mansioni

• Oversee and inspect subcontractor work on MDU, FTTH, and FTTP projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Manage relationships with clients, municipalities, property managers, permit holders and plant owners; stay in contact with agencies about projects.
• Lead pre-construction walkouts and meetings; confirm locates are clear and requirements are met before crews start.
• Manage crew schedules and ensure subcontractors have what they need.
• Review construction drawings and specs for constructability and compliance.
• Perform QA/QC inspections of workmanship, materials, and progress and keep reports up to date.
• Track daily production and materials to the client; report quantities.
• Identify discrepancies and work with PMs to resolve field issues.
• Identify, quote, and submit change requests for out-of-scope work for approval.
• Coordinate hard surface restoration with subcontractors and inspectors.
• Close out projects with stakeholders and final QA/QC inspections.
• Enforce safety policies and regulatory requirements on every site.
