Fanshawe Student Union is seeking a part-time Event Ambassador (Work Study) for the Woodstock Campus to provide high-level customer service, promote FSU activities, and support event operations at campus events. You will interact with students and volunteers, take photos, manage inventory, and help with poster boards.

This role runs Sep 2026 to Apr 2027, up to 20 hours per week, with weekend work possible, and is open to full-time Fanshawe College students eligible for Work Study bursary.

Qualifications

  • Full‑time Fanshawe College student eligible for Work Study bursary.
  • Domestic or international students with valid study permit and SIN.
  • Good academic standing per program requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Promote FSU activities and services at all events.
  • Distribute promotional materials to attendees.
  • Remain visible and energetic while promoting events.
  • Put up and take down posters on campus poster boards.
  • Represent FSU positively when interacting with students and volunteers.
  • Assist at FSU events as needed.
  • Take pictures at events as requested.
  • Assist with stocking and organizing inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned.

FSU Event Ambassador (Work Study) – Student Work Study job opportunity open to full-time Fanshawe College students who qualify for the Work Study Bursary program, supported through The Work Study Employment Program.

Contract: September 2026 – April 2027, up to 20 hours per week. Weekend work possible.

Summary

The FSU Event Ambassador at the Woodstock Campus will provide high-level customer service, promote FSU activities and services at all FSU events, maintain poster boards around campus, and support event operations by interacting with students and volunteers, taking photos, and managing inventory.

Job Duties
  • Promote the FSU activities and services at all FSU events
  • Distribute promotional materials
  • Remain visible and energetic on campus when promoting events
  • Put up and take down posters from the FSU poster boards around campus
  • Represent FSU positively when interacting with students and volunteers
  • Assist at FSU events as needed
  • Take pictures at events as requested
  • Assist with stocking and organizing inventory

Eligibility
  • Full‑time registered student at Fanshawe College – must meet financial needs assessment criteria
  • Domestic students or international students with a valid study permit and Social Insurance Number
  • Good academic standing per program requirements
