Job summary

Freson Bros. is hiring a Full-Time Sourdough Baker at our Fort Saskatchewan, AB location. You will measure, mix, knead, and bake bread, operate bakery equipment, and ensure products meet quality standards while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of bakery principles, experience with pre-ferments, and the ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays. A passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic bakery principles and techniques.
• Experience with pre-ferments, levain, poolish, sponge is preferred.
• Comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

We are hiring for a Full-Time Sourdough Baker with a wage range of $18.00 - $25.00 at our location in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Measure, mix, scale, knead, hand-shape, and score bread
• Bake traditional bread and bakery products
• Operate bakery equipment (i.e. commercial mixers, rack ovens, proofer, bread slicer)
• Adhere to quality, cleanliness, and merchandising standards
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Handle customer customer service inquiries and provide an exceptional customer experience

What you Bring:

• Knowledge of the basic principles of bakery preparation, various baking methods, and food safety regulations
• Experience with pre-ferments, levain, poolish, sponge
• Comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• A passion for providing an exceptional customer experience
• Ability to thrive and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Most importantly, the willingness and enthusiasm for continuous learning and development.
