Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Frontier Engineer (AI/Agentic) to help build scalable, cost-effective AI-enabled solutions. You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and AI practitioners within the Cognizant Forward team in a small, cross-functional pod.

You will use AI-assisted development tools, contribute to AI workflows, and apply responsible AI principles while growing your skills in cloud technologies and automation. This hybrid role is based in Mississauga or Toronto, ON.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Recent graduate or early-career professional with project/certification experience.
• Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud tech, AI, data engineering, or automation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with strong written and verbal communication.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Use AI-assisted tools to build, test, deploy, and enhance software solutions and secure systems.
• Support AI-enabled applications, agentic workflows, and automation including context and harness engineering.
• Evaluate AI outputs for quality, accuracy, performance, and business relevance.
• Contribute to knowledge/context systems, retrieval workflows, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support.
• Apply responsible AI principles and continuously learn new tools and technologies.
