Job summary

Synechron is seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join our team in Mississauga. You will deliver hands-on L1/L2 production support for Front Office platforms, handle incidents, and coordinate with engineering and infrastructure to ensure platform stability.

The role requires ITIL proficiency, strong SQL, Linux/Unix troubleshooting, and experience with ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence. Hybrid work, onboarding, and ongoing learning opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Experience in application production support in a financial services environment.
• Strong SQL skills for data investigation, reconciliation, and issue analysis.
• Hands-on Linux/Unix troubleshooting experience.
• Good knowledge of ITIL processes: Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or comparable IT service management platform.
• Experience providing L1/L2 support for business-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 production support for Front Office platforms (deal capture, trade booking, lifecycle processing).
• Triage incidents, assess impact, prioritize, and escalate with clear diagnostics.
• Manage incidents/changes/requests end-to-end in ServiceNow; keep stakeholders informed.
• Troubleshoot booking and lifecycle issues; coordinate with upstream/downstream teams.
• Support batch processing, data feeds, and environment upgrades; validate releases.
• Create runbooks and lightweight automation with Python/PowerShell/Shell.
• Document issues and post-incident reviews; maintain Confluence knowledge base.
