Position Details:
  • REGULAR PART TIME - $19.75-$20.75/HR
  • SHIFTS: COMPLETE OPEN AVAILABILITY - EVENINGS & WEEKENDS REQUIRED
Essential Functions
  • Perform duties similar to a Checker and Utility Clerk; restock registers with supplies when necessary
  • Provide excellent customer service by giving immediate and undivided attention
  • Respond to customer questions and follow through on requests
  • Check out and bag groceries quickly and accurately, proficient with PLU codes and store charts
  • Be aware of products and their locations in the store
  • Maintain a calm, friendly, and professional demeanor
  • Walk through the produce department to learn about new products and codes
  • Pass weekly quizzes on PLU codes
  • Gather and round up carts
  • Perform Go Backs when needed
  • Follow regulations on sale of alcohol, tobacco, and taxation
  • Utilize tares properly when ringing up scalable items
  • Accurately prepare loans and pulls, verify tills
  • Follow cash handling procedures
  • Operate check, ATM, and credit procedures
  • Assist in regulating customer flow and reducing wait times
  • Support other departments as needed
  • Offer to help customers with groceries to their cars
  • Ensure proper signage
  • Answer department calls with proper etiquette
  • Operate front end equipment safely
  • Keep the front end clean and organized, change register tape and ribbons
  • Stock and face items throughout the store
  • Keep supplies and register area stocked
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Lead or Manager
