Job summary

Thrifty-Foods is seeking a friendly cashier to provide exceptional customer service at the front end. You will process transactions accurately, manage the cash drawer, and assist with lottery, refunds, bottle returns, and inquiries.

You will help maintain merchandise, participate in training junior staff, and ensure adherence to company standards while supporting other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic level of numeracy skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service processing transactions to meet customer needs
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer following company policies and procedures
• Operate Customer Service Desk following all procedures for lottery sales, refunds, bottle returns and inquiries
• Maintain Front End Department merchandise
• Participate in the training of junior staff
• Adhere to, and implement all applicable company standards
• Support additional departments and functions with other duties as required
