Job summary

Sobeys in Toronto is seeking cashiers to deliver friendly, professional service and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.

You will handle transactions, maintain the cash drawer, operate the Customer Service Desk for lottery, refunds, bottle returns and inquiries, keep Front End merchandise organized, and assist in training junior staff while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• Basic level of numeracy skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service processing transactions to meet customer needs
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer following company policies and procedures
• Operate Customer Service Desk following all procedures for lottery sales, refunds, bottle returns and inquiries
• Maintain Front End Department merchandise
• Participate in the training of junior staff
• Adhere to, and implement all applicable company standards
• Support additional departments and functions with other duties as required
