Position Summary

To support the Store Manager and manage store operations according to Company guidelines and lead Associates to ensure friendly, helpful service and drive profitable store sales.

What You'll Do

1. Drive profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management, and sales forecasts. Analyze sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to respond to market changes while controlling expenditures. Communicate sales results to associates and guide interpretation of results.
2. Create operational plans with the Management Team; prioritize, delegate, and provide clear direction to Managers and Associates. Ensure optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, and store standards within Company policies. Implement new store programs and evaluate their effectiveness. Cross-train as needed across store areas.
3. Execute and monitor asset protection and safety controls; maintain quality assurance standards; oversee safety and operational reviews. Ensure compliance with Walmart policies and procedures, including safety, security, sales, financial, and record-keeping practices. Proactively address compliance issues.
4. Serve customers by greeting, seeking feedback, and resolving issues within Company guidelines to create a positive shopping experience. Model and enforce friendly and helpful customer service approaches.
5. Support community initiatives by participating in events and developing relationships with community groups. Engage in company-sponsored programs and sustainability efforts.
6. Lead Associates through regular meetings, communicate operational direction, drive engagement, recognize accomplishments, and foster professional growth. Develop high-potential staff through training and development.
7. Hold Associates accountable with timely, honest, and respectful feedback. Build relationships with supporting functions like HR.
8. Handle merchandise according to standards, including sensitive items, and ensure cash controls are maintained, handling up to two hundred and fifty thousand dollars daily.

Minimum Qualifications

Age - 16 or older.
