In support of the overall goals of Residence Services, a unit within the division of Student Affairs, the Front Desk Clerk performs a variety of administrative and customer service duties in the Residence Services Main Office. Residence Services provides accommodation services, programming, and education to the on-campus student community, in addition to a summer conference operation for off-campus customers. The Front Desk Clerk provides front-line service to both students and guests, assisting with inquiries, processing payments, and referring individuals to appropriate departments.
Reporting to the Manager, Conference and Customer Service, the Front Desk Clerk supports day and evening operations, seven days a week. Responsibilities include providing customer service, administrative support, processing financial transactions, and maintaining key inventories for residence buildings. The clerk should be knowledgeable about services offered by Residence Services and familiar with university operations to effectively assist students and guests.
