Job summary

Mantoria-Inc. in Mississauga, Canada, is seeking an experienced freight forwarding professional to join our team.

The ideal candidate will manage ocean import and export operations, coordinate air freight movements, booking, tracking, and billing, and maintain proactive client and agent relationships. Requirements include a minimum of 3 years in freight forwarding, advanced Excel skills, knowledge of CIFFA is a plus, and strong communication with both English and French assets.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in freight forwarding.
• Proficient in export/import air and ocean freight movements.
• French language skills are assets.
• Proficiency with computers; advanced Excel.
• CIFFA certification asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage ocean import and air import freight operations, including booking, tracking, and billing.
• Handle ocean export freight operations as needed.
• Interact with remote freight teams daily.
• Stay abreast current and upcoming regulations.
• Maintain excellent relations with clients and agents; develop opportunities to add value.

Main Responsibilities:

Major responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Ocean Import and air import freight operations, including booking, e-manifest, tracking, delivery, billing, closing, resolving disputes, managing profit & loss, maintaining customer/agent spreadsheets
• Ocean Export freight operations – as needed
• Other tasks and duties assigned from time to time by the Manager
• Interact and work with remote freight teams daily
• Stay abreast current and upcoming regulations
• Maintain excellent relations with clients and agent, develop relationships, cross sell services, follow-up on potential opportunities to add value.

Main Requirements:

• At least 3 years’ experience in the freight forwarding industry
• Excellent working knowledge of export and import air and ocean freight movements
• CIFFA certified is an asset
• Knowledge of Steamship line and NVOCC contracts and other online pricing tools - asset
• Proficiency with computers is a must; advanced knowledge of Excel
• Solid communication skills (French written and verbal are assets)
• Strong organization skills and is detailed oriented
• Must be a pro-active and solutions-focused team player
• Ability to prioritize time effectivelyEnergetic, pro-active, and keen learner
• Proven teamwork skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
