Job summary

Gofractional is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to define and lead platform engineering strategy across multi‑environment cloud systems. You will own infrastructure architecture end‑to‑end, drive DevSecOps and compliance, and mentor engineers on complex migrations and modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps or platform engineering with complex initiatives.
• Expert scripting and programming: Python, Go, Java, Bash.
• Deep cloud expertise across major platforms.
• Kubernetes and container orchestration mastery.
• IaC skills across multiple tools and environments.
• Strong CI/CD architecture experience at scale.
• DevSecOps including secrets management, compliance and auditing.
• Networking, IAM, security architecture, zero-trust in cloud.
• Service mesh, distributed systems, microservices expertise.
• AI/ML platform infra experience: model serving, GPU workloads, CI/CD for AI/ML.

Responsibilities

• Define DevOps strategy and lead infra architecture across multi-env cloud systems.
• Architect and own scalable Kubernetes platforms and containerized infra.
• Own infrastructure as code strategy and standards across environments.
• Lead DevSecOps implementation including secrets mgmt, compliance, IAM, and zero-trust.
• Drive platform reliability, performance SLAs, and cost optimization.
• Lead complex cloud migrations and platform modernization initiatives.
• Own observability strategy and production reliability practices.
• Lead AI/ML platform infra: model serving, GPU orchestration, LLM gateway, CI/CD for AI/ML.
• Use AI-forward tools to ship higher-quality work efficiently.
