Job summary

QFG is seeking a hands-on Team Lead, Software Engineering to guide a squad of engineers and own a key system. You will drive architecture, review code, and ensure delivery of full-stack solutions while mentoring teammates.

You’ll lead with a people-first approach, collaborate with People & Culture on performance and hiring, and steer governance and standards across your domain. This role embraces AI-assisted development and requires strong communication with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Senior-level hands-on full-stack experience with mentorship and design contribution.
• Experience leading or coordinating delivery within a squad; strong communication and judgment on tech decisions.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development and governance of AI-generated code.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineers of one squad, owning a system or feature area and ensuring SDLC health.
• Provide direct technical mentorship and stay current on industry trends.
• Make and justify day-to-day technical decisions within standards and governance.
• Identify stakeholders, document clearly, and communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Partner with People & Culture on performance, hiring, and career development.
