Job summary

Element Technical Services is seeking a Frac Operator at Carlyle, SK. The role involves operating various frac equipment, supporting safe field operations, and ensuring proper maintenance of pumps and associated systems.

You will work on a 14/7 rotation, requiring strong safety discipline and ability to perform pre/post-trip checks. We offer a signing bonus, competitive pay, health and dental benefits, RRSP matching, and PPE.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Rotation: 14 days on, 7 days off (14/7).
• Valid Class 1 driver license with satisfactory driving abstract.
• Valid H2S & First Aid Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate FRAC equipment such as Pumps, Iron Truck, ChemVan, Blenders.
• Understand FRAC operations including hot zone.
• Refuel units as required and assist with rig-in/rig-out procedures.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections for safety and roadworthiness.
• Maintain fluids and power end components; inspect and replace packing, seals, and plungers.
• Monitor pump operations and adjust as needed for flow metrics.

Various Responsibilities

• Operating various FRAC equipment such as Pumps, Iron Truck, ChemVan, Blenders
• Understanding of various FRAC operations including hot zone
• Refueling units as required
• Knowledgeable of and able to assist with rig-in/rig-out procedures as required
• Perform pre and post trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety and roadworthiness
• Awareness of the tools and parts required on the horsepower pumps for inventory and maintenance
• Maintaining the fluid head/power end by changing packing valves, seats, inspecting and changing pony rod clamps, packing nuts, power end seals and plungers as needed
• Perform pump inspection including pony rod clamps, glad nuts, warm up preheat the unit and complete a visual check
• Proficient and knowledge of chemical pump sizes and rate capabilities
• Chemical readings including volume and loading the job program
• Completion of the TDG paperwork including placarding
• Minimum and maximum rates associated to the different sized flow meters and troubleshoot issues with the flow meters
• Attend pre-job safety meetings
• Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, driver’s hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, fatigue management
• Maintain vehicle service and repair status
• Maintains effective communication with co-workers
