Element Technical Services in Red Deer, AB is seeking a HET Journeyman Mechanic for the Red Deer Base to support oil and gas operations with on-site field service. The role emphasizes maintenance, troubleshooting, and mentoring within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Oil and Gas.
• HET Journeyman Certificate with CVIP eligibility.
• Ability to perform advanced repair and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and training abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on FRAC and COIL TUBING equipment, including repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment to maximize safe and productive operations
• Ensure maintenance inspections are completed within designated timelines and documented as per industry standards
• Diagnose and troubleshoot repairs
• Complete paperwork efficiently and in a timely manner
• Record and track equipment deficiencies
• Perform remote & on location field repairs as required with the ability to work in all weather conditions
• Participate in safety meetings and provide feedback on equipment modifications and specifications
• Other duties as required
• All safety course requirements, will be provided at time of start

HET JOURNEYMAN MECHANIC - Red Deer Base - ELEMENT TECHNICAL SERVICES

Reports to

• Shop Supervisor
• Rotational - 10 days on, followed by 4 days off, OR 8 days on, followed by 6 days off.

Summary Of Position

Has 3+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. HET Journeyman Certificate with CVIP license or ability to obtain. Able to perform advanced Repair And Troubleshooting. Good Communication Skills. Required To Provide guidance and training to others within the department.

Requirements

Training

• Employees will have the opportunity to attend training courses and will receive a certificate of completion at the end of each course

Duties & Responsibilities

• Previous diagnostic and troubleshooting experience, knowledge of Cummins ISX15, QSK45,50,60, CAT 3512, Detroit, Twin Disk, Cat Transmission is preferred
• Knowledge of Coil Tubing and Fracturing equipment is considered an asset for this position
• Truck/Trailer repair and CVIP
• Strong computer skills with diagnostic software
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical & hydraulic systems
• Self-motivated and have the initiative to fully perform the duties of this position independently along with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize issues
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and satisfactory driving record
