Job summary

Finlink Group in Brampton, ON is seeking an experienced FP&A Analyst to join the finance team on-site. The role goes beyond reporting to drive financial decisions through planning, analysis and performance insights.

You will lead budgeting and forecasting, build financial models, analyze variances and partner with department managers to improve profitability and efficiency. This senior role requires strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/financial reporting systems.

Qualifications

• Several years of progressive FP&A/financial analysis experience.
• Ideally from Logistics, Transportation, Freight or Supply Chain industries.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, modelling and variance analysis skills.
• Solid understanding of financial statements and business performance.
• Experience presenting financial results to management.

FP&A Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis

Location: Brampton, ON | Full On-Site

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded FP&A Analyst to join our client's finance team in Brampton.

This is a senior-level opportunity for someone with a strong background in financial planning and analysis who can do more than just report numbers. You will play an important role in supporting business decisions through financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.

Working closely with management and different departments, you will help provide financial insights, identify trends and support the business in achieving its financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and analyse business performance.
• Review financial results and investigate variances against budget and forecast.
• Develop financial models and forecasts to support business decisions.
• Analyse revenue, costs, margins and overall business performance.
• Monitor financial and operational KPIs and identify areas for improvement.
• Work closely with department managers to understand financial results and support business planning.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, improved efficiency and profitability.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Support month-end and year-end reporting activities.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Several years of progressive experience in FP&A, Financial Analysis or a similar senior finance role.
• Ideally coming from the Logistics, Transportation, Freight or Supply Chain industry.
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and variance analysis.
• Solid understanding of financial statements and business performance.
• Experience preparing management reports and presenting financial results.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP or financial reporting systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Confident communicating financial information to non-finance stakeholders and senior management.
• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable working independently.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working full-time on-site in Brampton.
