Job description

The Senior FP&A Analyst will support financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis across multiple business units. The role will work closely with department leaders, accounting teams, and Corporate FP&A to turn financial and operational information into clear insights that support business decisions.

The successful candidate will initially support established reporting and forecasting processes, with the opportunity to take increasing ownership as familiarity with the business grows. This is a forward-looking finance role suited to someone who combines strong analytical capability, sound accounting knowledge, curiosity, and a continuous-improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and support monthly financial and management reporting across multiple business units, including accurate and decision-useful performance commentary.
  • Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, and prior periods; identify key drivers, risks, opportunities, and emerging trends.
  • Support recurring forecasts, the annual budget, and longer-range planning by maintaining models, coordinating inputs, challenging assumptions, and consolidating results.
  • Partner with department heads to understand business performance, provide financial insight, and respond to ad hoc analysis and decision-support requests.
  • Support monthly business reviews, quarterly materials, executive reporting, and related commentary for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with business-unit accounting teams and Corporate FP&A to align actual results, forecasts, reporting definitions, timelines, and management insights.
  • Maintain strong connectivity between accounting results and forward-looking plans; identify potential missing accruals or other reporting gaps and support selected calculations where appropriate.
  • Continuously improve financial models, reporting packages, templates, data quality, and planning processes to increase efficiency, scalability, and insight.
  • Explore practical uses of automation and artificial intelligence in FP&A, including opportunities to streamline recurring work, improve analysis, and enhance management reporting.
  • Support special projects, including acquisition-related analysis, when required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial analysis, management reporting, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to build and maintain structured financial models and work effectively with large datasets.
  • Prior experience with Netsuite, Salesforce, and Hubspot a plus, but not required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify business drivers and translate data into clear recommendations.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet recurring deadlines while managing changing priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively with stakeholders across functions and business units.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while maintaining strong communication, follow-through, and team connectivity.
What We Offer
  • A competitive total rewards package, including a performance-based bonus program.
  • Learning and development opportunities.
  • RRSP contributions.
  • Comprehensive medical and dental benefits, including a health spending account.
  • 20 days of vacation per year, plus flex days.
  • A fully remote working arrangement within Canada, with preference for candidates based in the Toronto area.
