Job summary

Paber Aluminium Inc. is seeking a production worker for its casting operations. You will track temperatures, prepare cores, make sand molds, and manage furnaces to cast metal parts. This role requires physical endurance and careful attention to safety and quality standards.

Relocation to Cap-Saint-Ignace is welcomed. The position involves 40 hours per week with potential evening shifts and benefits. Prior experience in foundry settings is a plus, and a criminal record check may be required.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma required.
  • Experience in metal casting or foundry preferred.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years in related work.

Responsibilities

  • Carefully monitor temperature gauges and heating units to melt metal as required.
  • Coat cores with protective materials.
  • Make sand molds using patterns and hand tools following established methods.
  • Operate ovens to dry molds and pour molten metal into molds.
  • Set up and operate various casting machines.
  • Prepare cores and assist with mold making to form holes or voids.
  • Load molten metal into molds and operate furnaces for casting.
