Job summary

Weir ESCO in Port Hope, Ontario is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead foundry operations, drive safety culture and optimize production performance.

Reporting to the operations leadership, you will manage salaried and hourly teams, implement Lean tools, and collaborate with maintenance, quality, engineering and supply chain to meet production goals while safeguarding a zero-harm environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing, or foundry environments.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, quality systems, and operational excellence.
• Proven ability to lead change and drive performance in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Safety leadership to promote zero-harm culture and enforce SHE standards.
• Lead foundry operations including molding, melting, core making, or finishing to meet targets.
• Supervise salaried and hourly staff, set performance expectations, and coach for development.
• Drive Lean, Kaizen and Root Cause Analysis to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to meet production needs.
• Analyze production data and plan actions to improve cost-effectiveness and throughput.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Support employee relations, investigations, and grievance processes.
