Job summary

Weir ESCO in Port Hope, Ontario, is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead our foundry operations onsite. You will drive safety, production planning, quality, and cost performance while coaching a diverse team.

You will partner with maintenance, quality, engineering, and supply chain to deliver capital projects and continuous improvements, using Lean, Kaizen and RCA to improve efficiency. If you have 5+ years of leadership in heavy industry and a track record of building high-performance teams,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership in heavy industrial, manufacturing, or foundry environments.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, quality systems, and operational excellence principles.
• Proven ability to lead change, execute initiatives with urgency, and foster a high-performance, team-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage foundry manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement targets.
• Supervise, coach, and develop salaried leaders and hourly employees, establishing clear performance expectations and feedback.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, and other problem-solving methodologies.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure production requirements are met and capital projects are supported.
• Analyze production data to identify operational challenges and develop actionable plans to improve efficiencies and cost-effectiveness.
