Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring Forklift/Overhead Crane Operators for a temporary assignment in Ontario. The position requires 12-hour shifts, five days per week when on project, with contract lengths ranging from 1 to 120 days.

You will earn $28.00 per hour before overtime. Hotel accommodations are provided when required, plus $30 per diem and travel up to four hours when lodging is needed.

• Licensed forklift operator (Counterbalance)
• Licensed overhead crane operator
• RF scanner experience
• Ability to follow set procedures
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Physically fit to lift 30–50 lbs regularly
• Basic computer skills
• Able to inspect workplace/equipment for safe operation
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Excellent English verbal and written communication
• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year warehouse/manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

• Inspect and unload/load received goods
• Use RF Scanner to prepare orders and shipments
• Safely load/unload trucks
• Prepare material movement lists for warehouse operators
• Check bills of lading and packing slips for accuracy
• Perform basic housekeeping duties
• Build and break down pallets

This position will require you to work 12 hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned to a project.

Contract Length: 1-120 days

You will earn:

• $28.00 per hour before overtime
• Hotel accommodations provided (when required)

• Travel (up to 4 hours when lodging required)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Inspection and unloading/loading of received goods
• Use RF Scanner to prepare customer orders/incoming shipments
• Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks
• Prepare material movement lists for warehouse operators
• Checks bill of lading, packing slips etc. for accuracy
• Performs basic housekeeping duties
• Building and breakdown of pallets

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experienced and licensed Counterbalance forklift operator
• Experienced and licensed Overhead Crane Operator
• RF Scanner Experience
• Ability to follow set procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be physically fit with the ability to regularly lift between 30 - 50 lbs
• Basic Computer skills
• Able to complete regular workplace and equipment inspections to ensure proper operation
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Strong English verbal and written communication skill
• High School graduate or GED equivalency.
• Minimum 1 year warehouse/manufacturing experience.
