Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring Forklift/Overhead Crane Operators for an upcoming temporary assignment in Ontario. This position requires 12-hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned to a project, with contract lengths from 1 to 120 days.

Duties include inspection and unloading/loading of goods, using an RF Scanner to prepare orders, safely loading trucks, and building pallets. Requires licensed counterbalance forklift and overhead crane operators, strong English, and ability to lift 30–50

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong English verbal and written communication.
• Licensed counterbalance forklift operator with overhead crane experience.
• RF Scanner experience and basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs regularly.
• Experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and unload/load received goods.
• Use RF Scanner to prepare customer orders and incoming shipments.
• Safely load and unload trucks.
• Prepare material movement lists for warehouse operators.
• Check bills of lading and packing slips for accuracy.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties.
• Assemble and break down pallets.

Job description

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring Forklift/Overhead Crane Operators for an upcoming temporary assignment in Ontario.

This position will require you to work 12 hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned to a project.

Contract Length: 1-120 days

You will earn:

• $28.00 per hour before overtime
• Hotel accommodations provided (when required)
• $30 per diem (when lodging required)
• Travel (up to 4 hours when lodging required)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Inspection and unloading/loading of received goods
• Use RF Scanner to prepare customer orders/incoming shipments
• Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks
• Prepare material movement lists for warehouse operators
• Checks bill of lading, packing slips etc. for accuracy
• Performs basic housekeeping duties
• Building and breakdown of pallets

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experienced and licensed Counterbalance forklift operator
• Experienced and licensed Overhead Crane Operator
• RF Scanner Experience
• Ability to follow set procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be physically fit with the ability to regularly lift between 30 - 50 lbs
• Basic Computer skills
• Able to complete regular workplace and equipment inspections to ensure proper operation
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Strong English verbal and written communication skill
• High School graduate or GED equivalency.
• Minimum 1 year warehouse/manufacturing experience.
