Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring for Forklift/Overhead Crane Operators for a temporary assignment in Ontario. The role involves 12-hour shifts, five days per week, with a contract length ranging from 1 to 120 days.

You will earn $28.00 per hour before overtime, hotel accommodations when required, and a $30 per diem plus travel up to four hours if lodging is needed. Duties include inspecting and loading/unloading goods, using RF scanners, and ensuring accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

This position will require you to work 12 hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned to a project.

Contract Length: 1-120 days

You will earn:

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Inspection and unloading/loading of received goods
• Use RF Scanner to prepare customer orders/incoming shipments
• Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks
• Prepare material movement lists for warehouse operators
• Checks bill of lading, packing slips etc. for accuracy
• Performs basic housekeeping duties
• Building and breakdown of pallets

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experienced and licensed Counterbalance forklift operator
• Experienced and licensed Overhead Crane Operator
• RF Scanner Experience
• Ability to follow set procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be physically fit with the ability to regularly lift between 30 - 50 lbs
• Basic Computer skills
• Able to complete regular workplace and equipment inspections to ensure proper operation
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Strong English verbal and written communication skill
• High School graduate or GED equivalency.
• Minimum 1 year warehouse/manufacturing experience.
