Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring Forklift/Overhead Crane Operators for a temporary assignment in Ontario. The role involves 12-hour shifts, five days per week when on project, with a contract length of 1–120 days.

You will be paid $28.00 per hour before overtime, with hotel accommodations provided when required, a $30 per diem when lodging is required, and travel reimbursement (up to 4 hours when lodging is required).

Qualifications

• Experienced and licensed Counterbalance forklift operator.
• Experienced and licensed Overhead Crane Operator.
• RF Scanner Experience.
• Ability to follow set procedures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be physically fit with the ability to regularly lift between 30 - 50 lbs.
• Basic Computer skills.
• Able to complete regular workplace and equipment inspections to ensure proper operation.
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skill.
• High School graduate or GED equivalency.
• Minimum 1 year warehouse/manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and load/unload received goods.
• Use RF Scanner to prepare customer orders/incoming shipments.
• Safely load and unload trucks.
• Prepare material movement lists for warehouse operators.
• Check bill of lading and packing slips for accuracy.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties.
• Build and breakdown pallets.
