Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring Forklift/Overhead Crane Operators for an upcoming temporary assignment in Ontario. You will work 12 hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned to a project. Contract length: 1-120 days.

Earn $28.00 per hour before overtime, with hotel accommodations provided when required and $30 per diem when lodging is required. Travel up to 4 hours when lodging is required. Responsibilities include inspecting and loading/unloading goods, using RF Scanner for orders, safely

Qualifications

• Licensed Counterbalance forklift operator.
• Licensed Overhead Crane Operator.
• RF Scanner Experience.
• Ability to follow set procedures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be physically fit with the ability to regularly lift between 30 - 50 lbs.
• Basic Computer skills.
• Able to complete regular workplace and equipment inspections to ensure proper operation.
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skill.
• High School graduate or GED equivalency.
• Minimum 1 year warehouse/manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspection and unloading/loading of received goods.
• Use RF Scanner to prepare customer orders/incoming shipments.
• Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks.
• Prepare material movement lists for warehouse operators.
• Checks bill of lading, packing slips etc. for accuracy.
• Performs basic housekeeping duties.
• Building and breakdown of pallets.
