Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is seeking Forklift/Overhead Crane Operators for a temporary assignment in Ontario. Work is on 12-hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned, with contract lengths from 1 to 120 days.

Earn $28.00 per hour before overtime; hotel accommodations and $30 per diem provided when lodging is required; travel up to 4 hours when lodging is required. Responsibilities include inspecting and loading/unloading goods, using RF scanners to prepare orders, and ensuring accuracy of shipping

Job description

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring Forklift/Overhead Crane Operators for an upcoming temporary assignment in Ontario.

This position will require you to work 12 hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned to a project.

Contract Length: 1-120 days

You will earn:

• $28.00 per hour before overtime
• Hotel accommodations provided (when required)
• $30 per diem (when lodging required)
• Travel (up to 4 hours when lodging required)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Inspection and unloading/loading of received goods
• Use RF Scanner to prepare customer orders/incoming shipments
• Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks
• Prepare material movement lists for warehouse operators
• Checks bill of lading, packing slips etc. for accuracy
• Performs basic housekeeping duties
• Building and breakdown of pallets

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experienced and licensed Counterbalance forklift operator
• Experienced and licensed Overhead Crane Operator
• RF Scanner Experience
• Ability to follow set procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be physically fit with the ability to regularly lift between 30 - 50 lbs
• Basic Computer skills
• Able to complete regular workplace and equipment inspections to ensure proper operation
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Strong English verbal and written communication skill
• High School graduate or GED equivalency.
• Minimum 1 year warehouse/manufacturing experience.
