Job summary

RONA is seeking a skilled forklift operator to join its distribution center team in Varennes, Canada. The role focuses on loading, unloading, storing products, and maintaining safety standards while ensuring accurate order preparation and stock records.

The successful candidate will have forklift certification (where required), physical stamina for outdoor work, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative approach to serving customers with SMART principles.

Qualifications

• Forklift operator certification (license if required).
• Capacity for continuous physical work (lifting up to 23 kg) in varied outdoor conditions.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Team spirit, effective communication, and task autonomy.
• Familiarity with materials and stock management procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to load, unload, and store products according to standards.
• Inspect equipment, loads, and products to ensure compliance and report issues.
• Prepare and assemble orders, prioritizing tasks and ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment by assisting with warehouse and yard maintenance.
• Record returns and stock adjustments in the system.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional customer service using SMART principles.
