Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator for our Montréal‑East location. You will work Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., loading/unloading trailers, moving materials, and supporting the sorter to maintain smooth operations.

Ideal candidates hold a current forklift certification, have at least two years of experience, and are committed to safe practices in an indoor/outdoor industrial environment in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator certification.
• At least two years of forklift experience.
• Committed to working safely at all times.
• Excellent physical condition for manual handling.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather.
• Reliable team player with good prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the equipment at the beginning of the shift and report any anomalies.
• Load and unload trailers and other transport vehicles.
• Move materials safely using a forklift.
• Prepare orders according to established guidelines.
• Supply the sorter to ensure smooth operation of activities.
• Provide support to the sorter by placing materials on pallets or into boxes.
• Identify materials and enter data into the system to ensure inventory accuracy.
