Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions is hiring an experienced Crown Reach & Electric Counterbalance Forklift Operator for a busy food manufacturing facility in Milton, Ontario.

This role requires operating both forklift types in Shipping & Receiving, moving products through production, and maintaining accurate inventory using a Warehouse Management System in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification for Crown Reach and Electric Counterbalance.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating Crown Reach and Electric Counterbalance forklifts.
• Experience with Shipping & Receiving and warehouse operations preferred.
• Experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is an asset.
• Comfortable in cooler and freezer environments; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must wear steel-toe safety shoes and be flexible for overtime/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate Crown Reach and Electric Counterbalance forklifts.
• Move finished and packaged products from production to designated storage locations.
• Load and unload trailers safely and accurately.
• Stage ingredients and packaging materials to support production requirements.
• Inspect pallets for damage and ensure products are properly labelled.
• Document inventory movements using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Follow MOL, GMP, HACCP and CTPAT procedures and standards.
• Assist production staff when required.
• Occasionally operate other production equipment; training provided.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Follow company food safety, health and safety and warehouse procedures.

Location: Milton, ON

Pay Rate: $26.50/hour
Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with flexibility for overtime and occasional weekends
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing, based on client business needs

About the Opportunity

Fuze HR Solutions is currently hiring an experienced Crown Reach & Electric Counterbalance Forklift Operator for a well-established food manufacturing facility in Milton, Ontario.

This position is based within a busy Shipping & Receiving operation and is ideal for an experienced forklift operator who is comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing and warehouse environment.

The successful candidate must have valid forklift certification and a minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience operating both Crown Reach and Electric Counterbalance forklifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate Crown Reach and Electric Counterbalance forklifts
• Move finished and packaged products from production to designated storage locations
• Load and unload trailers safely and accurately
• Stage ingredients and packaging materials to support production requirements
• Inspect pallets for damage and ensure products are properly labelled
• Accurately document inventory movements using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Follow all applicable MOL, GMP, HACCP and CTPAT procedures and standards
• Assist production staff when required
• Occasionally operate other production equipment, including an apple peeler; training will be provided
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Follow all company food safety, health and safety, and warehouse procedures

Working Environment

This position involves working in both cooler (+5°C) and freezer (-20°C) environments.

Operators will move in and out of temperature-controlled areas throughout the shift and will not be stationed inside the freezer for extended periods.

Freezer gear, including a freezer jacket, gloves and sweater, will be provided.

Requirements

• Valid forklift certification for Crown Reach and Electric Counterbalance
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience operating both types of equipment
• Previous Shipping & Receiving and warehouse experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with a WMS is an asset
• Comfortable working in cooler and freezer environments
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs when required
• Must have steel-toe safety shoes
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
• Must be flexible to work overtime and occasional weekends based on operational requirements
• Ability to successfully complete a background check as part of the onboarding process
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, accuracy and reliability
