Job summary

Apex Aluminum Extrusions in Langley, BC is seeking a Forklift Operator to join the Packaging team. This full-time, permanent position offers a stable manufacturing environment and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will move long aluminum logs and other loads using forklifts and pallet jacks, perform daily inspections, and assist with loading/unloading while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year forklift experience on production floor.
• Experience driving Hyster or similar equipment preferred.
• Warehouse/distribution experience.
• Good verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Move aluminum logs 20-25 ft long and ~1000 lbs using forklift or pallet jack.
• Operate equipment safely following prescribed work methods.
• Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on forklift and other equipment.
• Ensure job quality meets company standards and customer requirements; assist in loading/unloading as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Forklift Operator to join our Packaging team in Langley, BC. This is a full-time, permanent position, with an excellent benefits package, and room for growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Using a forklift and/or pallet jack to safely and efficiently move and lift aluminum logs that are 20-25 ft long and around 1000 lbs. in weight, as well as other heavy material loads.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods .
• On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment (i.e., adding hydraulic fluid if necessary)
• Ensure job quality meets company standards and customer requirements.
• Assist in other parts of the plant including loading/unloading as required.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge/Experience and Skills:

• Forklift experience (minimum 1 year production floor experience required).
• Previous experience in driving Hyster and other similar equipment (preferred).
• Warehouse distribution experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
