Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Forklift Operator to support loading and unloading, route pulling from manifests, and general warehouse tasks. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, maintain safety and accuracy in handling freight, and work within a collaborative team in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The role requires forklift experience, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and English proficiency. Competitive pay and benefits are provided, with opportunities for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks and banding/shrink wrap material.
• Experience using a RF scan gun required.
• Overtime and occasional weekends may be required.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Must read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using manifest to pull route and assist Drivers.
• Move freight and perform duties such as picking, packing, scanning, or counting as applicable.
• Ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work are completed accurately.
• Identify overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate forklift, pallet jacks and related warehouse equipment.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow TSA/OSHA guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

The Forklift Operator oversees loading & unloading materials utilizing a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift. They are to maintain a clean and safe work environment and identify any discrepancies in receiving loads against manifest.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers to load and unload trucks
• Material handling may include one or more of the following: picking, packing, scanning, kitting (as applicable), counting products and other like duties
• Must ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately
• Identifying and annotating overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
• Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure safe and secure work environment including all TSA and OSHA guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required
• Previous warehouse experience preferred - 1 year experience
• Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks and banding/shrink wrap material
• Experience using a RF scan gun required
• Previous forklift certifications preferred
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends
• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well
• Must have the ability to work well with others
• High attention to detail required
• Must have the ability to work well with others with little supervision
• Must be able to lift 50+lbs. unassisted
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Position requires employees to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend and lift objects above their head. Employees must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts.

• The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.
