Job summary

Menasha Packaging Canada L.P. in Brampton is hiring a forklift operator to join our warehouse team. You will drive a powered industrial truck to move pallets, load and unload trailers, and support safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years forklift driving experience and a valid forklift licence. You will read, write and speak English, and contribute to accuracy in shipping, receiving and inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload skids/pallets from trailers and transport within the plant.
• Move and stack products safely and efficiently.
• May work on the production line as needed.
• Follow safety protocols to protect personnel and materials.
• Enter data into company systems and perform routine equipment checks.
• Keep the work area clean and report issues to the supervisor.
• Support food safety, quality, HACCP and GMP requirements.

About The Opportunity

Position Summary This position involves driving a powered industrial truck equipped with forklift, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in warehouse or factory.

Pay Band and Position Status

Pay Band : $22.00 hourly This posting is for an existing vacancy The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads skids/pallets on/off trailers and transports to various areas within the plant
• Places and removes skids from assigned bunks in a safe manner
• Ensures counts are accurate on materials being received and shipped
• Wraps and straps completed skids from production line
• May be required to work on the production assembly line
• Exercises care for the safety of personnel, property and materials at all times
• Enters data into company systems as directed
• Completes daily maintenance check on the equipment and reports issues/problems to Manager
• Cleans up work area at the end of the shift as directed
• Ensures and supports to make sure Food safety, Quality, HACCP and GMP is always followed.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Minimum of 2 years driving experience
• Valid Forklift Licence

Education & Experience Requirements

• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Computer literate in word and excel applications
• Knowledge of warehouse software applications
• Knowledge of Shipping and receiving documentation
• Knowledge of inventory would be an asset

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Primarily works in a factory and/or warehouse setting
• Position may be based at Menasha Packaging site or customer location
