Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Mississauga, Canada is hiring a Full-time Receiving Operator to support cross-trained picking and packing for airplane engines. The role requires forklift operation and adherence to safety standards, with a shift from 7am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. A forklift cert is preferred and training provided if needed.

Ideal candidates have warehouse experience, strong attention to detail, and basic computer skills to manage digital records and inventory checks.

Qualifications

  • Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion within 30 days of employment.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • Six months warehouse experience preferred.
  • Six months forklift operation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products using forklift or other power equipment for 80% of shift.
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment with exact counts.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper records.
  • Follow OSHA and MSDS standards and report variances.
  • Complete daily equipment inspections and battery/tank changes.
  • Assist in physical inventories.

Position: Full-time Receiving Operator

Shift: 7am –; 3 pm, Monday to Friday

Pay:23.50 per hour

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

  • Picking and packing experience, with strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment, and good computer skills.
  • Some experience operating MHE equipment, with a minimum of 6 months' experience operating a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) order picker.
  • Ability to become MHE certified on an Order Picker (Cherry Picker) within the first 15 days of employment.

Role Purpose

Responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product. Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products. Ensures products are free of damage and infestation, product code dates are properly recorded and products match customer requirements.

Key Accountabilities
  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.
  • Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.
  • Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary.
  • Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Complete daily inspection of equipment.
Required Education and Experience
  • Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
  • Six months warehouse experience, preferred
  • Six months forklift operation experience
