Job description

We are looking for a skilled Forestry Foreman to lead our team in the field. The Foreman will be responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach and extensive experience in forestry.

Responsibilities :

  • Supervise forestry crews, including equipment operators and laborers.
  • Ensure safety standards are upheld on all job sites.
  • Monitor and report on project progress.
  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of forestry equipment.
  • Train new employees on safe work practices.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role in forestry.
  • Strong knowledge of forestry practices and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in challenging outdoor conditions.
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license.
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certification.
  • Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) Certification, BSO or CSO equivalent.
  • Leadership for Safety Excellence Certification.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test.
