Job summary

GeoVerra Inc. is seeking Forestry Students to join our Forestry and Environmental team for a Summer 2026 Student position in Edmonton, Alberta.

You will gain hands-on field experience on planning and operations projects and have the opportunity to work with experienced mentors in a safety-first culture. Our ideal candidate is enrolled in a Forestry, Environment, or Forest Technology program, eager to learn, and willing to travel for fieldwork.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Forestry, Environment, or Forest Technology program.
• Experience performing field work safely in Alberta.
• Ability to operate an ATV/UTV is preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Clean background and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist on planning and operations projects mainly in the field.
• Scout and evaluate sites in the field for timber volumes for clients in Alberta.
• Conduct hazard tree assessments and salvage planning on utility lines in Alberta.
• Wildlife sweeping for projects.
• May apply for stakeholder agreements and GIS mapping.
