GeoVerra is seeking eager Forestry Students to join our fun and collaborative Forestry and Environmental team for a Summer 2026 Student position. You will work in the field on planning and operations projects, travel to Alberta and beyond, and gain hands-on mentorship in a safety-first culture.

We’ll be real with you—our ideal scenario is to bring our former students on as full‑time employees once they graduate, with opportunities to apply GIS and field GPS skills on diverse projects.

Qualificações

• Enrollment in a Forestry, Environment, or Forest Technology program.
• Experience performing field work safely and efficiently throughout Alberta.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed.
• Experience safely operating an ATV and/or UTV is preferred.

What you will do:

What you will bring:

• Experience performing field work safely and efficiently throughout Alberta.

• Enrollment in a Forestry, Environment, or Forest Technology program.

• Collaborative attitude and the ability to excel in a team and independent environment.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction through problem solving, critical thinking and sound decision making.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Superior attention to detail to produce professional deliverables & documentation.
• Technical, mathematical, scientific, and computer skills including MS Office products, ESRI ArcGIS, & field GPS.
• Successful completion of pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening as per the limits provided in the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace.
• Clear background check including criminal record check.
• Unrestricted driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.

Job conditions

• Out-of-town work including long field days (shift durations vary dependent on project and can be over 10 days) and frequent travel required.
• Ability to carry, lift and push up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
