Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Foreman IS at our Long Harbour, NL location to lead a safety‑driven team and oversee the maintenance and coordination of our growing fleet. The role emphasizes safety leadership, supervision, scheduling, and mentorship of new hires, with a focus on regulatory compliance and customer relations.

Responsibilities include conducting toolbox talks, ensuring permits, communicating progress, and maintaining paperwork accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Industrial Services or High-Pressure equipment.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory and planning experience in an industrial services environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
• Valid driver's license - Class 3 or 1 preferred with clean 5-year abstract.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the number one priority by following policies and acting safely at all times.
• Supervise, schedule, coordinate, and develop service and maintenance of equipment.
• Conduct toolbox talks as per company policy.
• Maintain constant communication with supervisors about progress and estimated timelines for manpower and equipment release.
• Maintain and foster excellent customer relations.
• Contribute to training and mentorship for new hires and support senior operators.
• Ensure inspections and maintenance requests are completed.
• Ensure job permits are obtained timely according to customer permit procedures.
• Ensure all completed paperwork meets regulatory requirements and safety deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Health and Safety our employees and that health and safety is the number one priority through following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Supervising, scheduling, coordinating, and developing the service and maintenance of our equipment.
• Conducts toolbox talks as per company policy.
• Maintains constant communication with the supervisors; keeping them informed of job progress and estimated timeframes when manpower and equipment will be released.
• Maintains and fosters excellent customer relations.
• Contributes to the training and mentorship program for all new hires and supports the development of senior operators by providing guidance and development opportunities.
• Ensures that all inspections and maintenance request are completed.
• Ensures job permits are obtained for each job in a timely manner according to the customer’s permit procedures.
• Ensures all completed paperwork meets regulatory requirements and safety deadlines.
